Utensils for Daily Grooming of Dogs

This article gives you an indication on the main objects used in daily care. Here is everything you need for the daily grooming of your Shih Tzu or Maltese Bichon or any other curly dog you may have.

Of course, you do not carry out the same grooming operations every day.

You can soil scattered hairs using dry shampoo and cleansing lotion, which usually smells very nice. You can find these products for sale in pet shops.

Scissors are also necessary because you often have to cut the hair around the eyes and on the pads and round the hair on the feet, among others. These can also available in pet shops.

The toothpaste spray is highly convenient and efficient for everyday use. This tastes good and it does not scare your dog in any way. It is available in pet shops, with groomers, at exhibitions and at veterinary practices.

The ears should be cleaned at least once a week. You can use Otolane lotion for that, which you can find for sale at the vet’s practice.

You need round cottons on which you shed Dacryoserum or saline solution to clean your dog’s eyes every day or several times a day if necessary. These can be found in pharmacies.

You also need detangling lotion. The Anju detangling lotion is a true miracle if your dog’s fur is knotted. However, you should not have such problems if you add enough shampoo when bathing the dog as this nourishes the hair. Such products are usually available for sale in pet shop, with groomers and at exhibitions.
The comb you use should have wide-spaced teeth.

You can apply small quantities of anti-itch milk on the lines around the top knot. Then your dog will not scrape its skull and ruin its hairstyle within 5 minutes after the grooming session. Apply this milk and it will remain impeccably coiffed for 48 hours. This also seems to be a true miracle. You can find it in pet shops.
You need small very sharp scissors to cut the elastics of the top knot. Otherwise, you may hurt your dog if you cut too much hair at once as you actually pull the hairs instead of cutting them.

You need elastics of various colors and sizes depending on the thickness of the wick to hold the top knot. You can find elastics with groomers or in pet shops, as well as at exhibitions. Small fabric knots for adorning their heads are conventionally sold in pet stores, by groomers or at exhibitions. You can also find metal accessories at low prices on the shelves of H&M stores.

You need a clamp to cut the claws!!! Clamps are better and cut more accurately than any other accessories intended for this purpose sold in pet stores. Some stores sell cardboards or nail files for filing any small burrs that may remain after cutting the nails. However, the dog may associate these with stress and it will no longer stay still during the grooming session.

Last but not least, you can sprinkle a little cologne for dogs like Oh My Dog, which smells deliciously good and does not cause any allergies or sneezing. Most dog owners apply cologne once a week. Cologne is also available in pet shops.

Have fun and good luck!

Many people enjoy the game of roulette due to the excitement it provides. The hype and adrenaline rush you get when you play this game are simply one of a kind. More and more people have been persuaded to play roulette at this time when there are thousands of online casinos to choose from. Online roulette not only allows you to choose the time when you want to play and the location but also gives you the opportunity to find to play for free at first. This is a huge advantage because you can play roulette and place bets without spending your own money. These free games are intended to convince people to register with some online casinos. It is a kind of marketing strategy you cannot encounter in land-based casinos.

Online casinos and free roulette

free roulette
Roulette is one of the oldest forms of gambling in the world and has continued to gain popularity since the first moment it was played. This popularity is probably due the simplicity and excitement of the game. There were no free roulette games when online casinos first appeared. However, they developed together with the internet. There is not a big difference between playing roulette in land-based casinos and playing the game online as the rules and mechanics are the same. However, you do not hear any sounds when you play roulette online, so you might not feel the same kind of excitement as in a real casino.

The game of roulette can be really fun, but winning makes it even more fun. Therefore, most roulette players use or try to use strategies that can help them beat the casino. If you are one of those playing who are looking for a perfect roulette system, you should remember one thing: there is no single approach or system that can help you beat the casino. This is not really a disappointment, but only a kind of wake-up call. However, there are a few very helpful roulette strategies that can serve as a playing field or guide when you play roulette.

The best thing to do if you want to have an advantage over the house is to know the roulette rules inside out. Roulette is a very simple game but there are several factors about roulette you have to understand like the two types of roulette games or the type of betting systems you can use.

You should take advantage of the free roulette game offered by so many online casinos to become more familiar with the mechanics of the game. This additional knowledge can help you play the game better and win more money. Good luck!

Rules of Casino Games

The rules of online roulette

The game of roulette is one of the most exclusive and exciting games played in virtual casinos. The goal of the game is to determine the number the ball launched into the wheel finally land on. The wheel rotates around a pivot and is divided into 38 slots (in the American version). 36 of the slots are numbered 1 through 36. The first half is red and the other one is black. There are two green slots marked 0 and 00. Thus, each slot is numbered and has a specific color.

Rules of Casino Games
Players can bet on a specific number, but they can also choose combinations of numbers. For instance, they can bet on an odd or even number, on one of the first twelve numbers or on a specified column of numbers represented on the carpet. They can bet that the ball will land on a red or black number or that it will land on a green zero slot.

Roulette is a table game. The players bet against the bank. They can move and change their bets until the famous phrase "No more bets" is announced and displayed in the status line at the bottom of the screen.

Once the bets have been placed, the ball is thrown into the wheel. The gains are allocated when the ball lands in one of the slots. Players cannot wager more than the maximum bet. The minimum and maximum betting limits are displayed in the lower right corner of the screen. Of course, the player is responsible for the correct positioning of their bets on the table.

The bets

The losing bets are removed from the table and the winning bets are paid out according to the following table:
The bet placed                                                                         The payout ratio
A single number (full)                                                 35 to 1

One of the 12 numbers in the horizontal row (dozen)            2 to 1

Split (2 numbers)                                                                     17 to 1

Vertical row (three numbers)                                                  11 to 1

Square (4 numbers)                                                                 8 to 1

6 numbers in two contiguous lines (simple section)                5 to 1

1st, 2nd and 3rd column                                                         2 to 1

First, second and third dozen                                                 2 to 1

5 numbers: 0, 00, 1, 2, 3                                                          6 to 1

Low, high, black, red, even, odd                                            1 to 1

For example, if your initial bet is 20 USD on a single number (the payout ratio is 35 to 1), you receive your original bet of 20 USD plus 35 times your bet, which means 700 USD. Here is another example: if you bet 100 USD on Red (1 to 1), you receive your original bet of 100 USD plus a gain of 100 USD. There are multiple types of bets you can place, so you have to think which one to choose.

The advantage of playing roulette online instead of in a land-based casino is that it is easier to play.

The player does not have to pay attention to the dealer to see if the bets have been completed. They cannot accidentally forget to place the minimum bet or exceed the maximum bet. As with all online games, there is a "Help", "Rules" or a question mark button that takes the player to a small page with detailed explanations on the game and its rules.

You can play several versions of the game of roulette: royal roulette, French roulette, American roulette, European roulette, the "Gold Series"... Some casinos like Spin Palace casino, for example, give you the opportunity to play royal roulette and aim for a progressive jackpot.

As in all casino games, you should start by testing your skills for fun and not play for money. This allows you to familiarize yourself with the game. You can learn to play roulette using online software and develop your strategies without losing money in the process. Golden Palace Casino also allows you to play roulette for hours without making a deposit. You can also choose a no download casino like Euro Casino. Once you master your strategy, you can take action and play this exciting game for real money!

Tips for Casino Beginners

You have learned the basics of the Hold'em poker game, you downloaded the free software, you have exercised via the apprenticeship program and now you are ready to embark on the great adventure of the poker game. Here are some tips that should help especially if you want to start playing for real money in cash games or tournaments. The reaction of the players is different when you play with dummy chips or when you play with real money.

Be patient.

Build your game depending on your position in relation to the button and play cleanly and wisely.

Do not hold a grudge against one or another opponent. Do not try to take revenge in the next few coups because you are likely to lose even more.

Do not rush, especially if you have a seemingly unbeatable hand.

Whether playing at a casino table or on the internet, you should consider your opponents’ reactions (patience, aggressiveness, bluff, etc.).

Most importantly, have fun!

The bluff in poker

"The art of poker (whether at an offline table or on the internet) lies in the player's ability to bluff or to make their opponent believe that they have an upper hand, thus discouraging them to bet or raise."
Bluffing is decisive in the poker game. However, it must be used wisely and knowingly.
Warning: you should not bluff regularly because your opponents will know and read you very quickly. A bluff takes practice. A bluffer is only successful after a long training period.

Here is what you should consider prior to a bluff:
Your position at the table;

Observing the other players;

The strength of the pot (there is no point in bluffing if the pot contains only a few cents);

The evolution of the bets (if a player bets large sums of money, they probably have a good hand);

Your own game (you are not bluffing if you have a winning hand);

The sensitivity of the moment.
How do you know if you are a good bluffer? This is simple. You are a good bluffer if your bluffs are successful more than half of the time. You can easily simulate bluffs and analyze all possible reactions with the many free tutorials available on the internet.
The categories of players
The conservative player: This is a wise poker player who has a regular behavior and does not give up.

The smug: This is a poker player who knows they are beaten, yet they want to see the cards.

The bluffer: This is an aggressive poker player who usually (but not always) bluffs for no reason.

The aggressive player: This is a poker player who plays aggressively to very aggressively.

The versatile player: This is a poker player who manifests all the behaviors described above. Therefore, they are unpredictable. Most of the great champions are versatile players.
How to choose a table
The next step after using the training room to familiarize yourself with the functions of the game and its development is to learn how to choose a table. Lobby window allow you to sit at a table to test it. Here are the steps you need to take:
Play for fun

Choose Thurs (Hold'em)

Choose the type of limit (Limit, Pot Limit, No Limit)

Choose the bid (from pennies to dollars)

Choose the table size (2, 6 or 10 players)

Optional: Check the details of the table (blinds, minimum limit, etc.)

Go to the table you have selected

The presence of other players at the table allows you to use a technique that does not work against a video poker machine: the bluff. This technique allows you to bet large sums of money in an attempt to scare your opponents, who may give up their hand even if it is better than yours.

These buttons indicate the type of table you can choose. For example, you can select a Practice Play table. You can play either for real money or for play money. Real poker tables are colored red while practice tables are colored blue.

Choose your game

Then you have to select the type of game you want to play. The game tabs at the top of the menu indicate the type of table you can choose. For example, you can choose a Hold'em table. As you can imagine, you can only play Texas Hold'em at this table. You now have to choose an approach. For example, you can choose the traditional approach, which means that you look through the list of available tables to find one that meets your needs and an open seat. The other alternative is to use the search bar to find a seat at the desired table quickly. Once you find it, you can sit down and start playing.

Traveling by bicycle Tips for flying with a bike

How much does it cost to take the bike on the plane and how you should package it?
Bicycle on the plane, how much does it cost?

The prices for the bicycle transport in an aircraft vary from airline carrier. Within Europe, some companies take the bike with even free cost. Otherwise, costs of bicycle transportation by air within Europe can be € 25-50 each way. For bicycle tours in Europe, it is definitely worthwhile. The situation is different however in long-haul flights. Here, the prices are € 80-300 per trip. Some airlines may take the bike instead of a piece of luggage. These bikes have to be built, however, largely apart as they go beyond the otherwise maximum luggage dimensions. In any event, the bicycle must be registered prior to travel with the airline.

The bike for the flight pack

First of all, let me say that bikes nowadays no longer be thrown through the area, as long as they are abandoned bicycles and recognizable as such. In special stores, bike bags are offered in which the bikes can be stored safely. However, such cases are not necessarily identified by the airport staff as a bike bag and thrown like even once. In addition, they are expensive and take away a lot of space at the destination. Some airlines offer special bags for bicycles, in which you can pack the bikes after a thorough groundwork in good conscience. The best packaging for bikes on planes, however, is with cardboard and / or freestyle wrapping techniques with tape. Boxes for bicycles as a charter service should be for free from the bike shop. But you have to ask in advance, as the cases are often thrown away immediately. Another option is to completely wrap the bike and secure with tape (Freestyle winding technology). The advantage is that you store at your destination no packing material.

One should, however, devote some parts of special attention.
Best preparation for the flight

Basically, it is recommended by the airlines to let the air out of the tires and put the cross bar. Furthermore, it is recommended that all bicycle parts that are easily removable must be dismantled. These pedals are the same as speedometer cables, bottle holders, lamps, etc. The course should be switched so that the chain cannot fall down when you touch the thumb switch. The chain is always on the largest chain ring. In addition, the chain rings with foil and duct tape are specially protected. This also applies to the brakes and also be sensitive to all other circuit components such as handlebars and saddle lowered so far as possible. Moreover, it is wise to keep the top tube with foam or bubble wrap. Otherwise, the complete bike is finally wrapped in plastic and secured with tape.

With such a packed bike, you can approach the air travel by bike calm. You can sit back and relax. Upon arrival, an extensive bike check will not hurt, of course.

Tips on Laptops

The choice of Windows or Linux

Almost all computers available on the market today are offered with the operating system Microsoft Windows Vista included. The UFC has long considered this bundling as prohibited under Article L.122-1 of the Consumer Code. The government has also admitted that the Secretary of State has included two measures to improve transparency vis-à-vis the consumer in his plan for the development of digital economy. The first one aims for the prices of software and those of pre-installed operating systems to be displayed separately, while the second aims to permit the buyer to choose whether they want a computer with a pre-installed operating system. Now you can be reimbursed for the operating system if you do not want to use it (if you prefer a free operating system like Ubuntu or Mandriva). The authorities have launched an online guide of repayment on the internet. The Darty distributor displays the procedure with all the manufacturers both in stores and on their website. This is an isolated initiative that deserves to be emphasized.

Windows Vista: a real pain?

Of course, Windows Vista will always remain in history. No computer operating system has caused the spilling of as much ink. The system was not in tune when it was first sold by Microsoft in January 2007. The computers were not powerful enough to support such a cumbersome system. Consequently, they were idling and there were a lot of "buggies". The incompatibility of Windows Vista with several pieces of software and peripherals (printers) has reduced its popularity significantly.

Things have changed today. There are still some incompatibility problems, but the computers sold are more powerful. Requiring 2 GB of RAM, Windows Vista does not slow down the machine. Microsoft claimed to have learned their lesson and promised not to repeat the same mistakes with Windows Seven, Vista's successor. And they didn’t.

Should you be afraid of Linux?

Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista) largely dominated the scene of operating systems. Only the eternal rival Apple has successfully provided an alternative with its Mac. Another very credible though not very visible operating system is Linux. Linux is not an operating system per se, but rather a free core database for developers. They rely on it to develop software that they then make available to the public (or business), either for free or not. Some operating systems are beginning to make a name among these programs (they are referred to as "distribution systems"). These include Ubuntu, Mandriva, Open Suse, Gentoo or Fedora. Each of them is completely outside the lines of the Microsoft universe. First of all, these distributions are free (for consumers) unlike the Windows operating systems. Then, they are not very appealing from a visual point of view, but publishers cultivate simplicity. Finally, the software used in Windows is not compatible with it, but there are some Linux equivalents (not always easy to find). Most are free, too.

Freedom is priceless

Free software is not necessarily free as seen at  www.ultraslimlaptop.com. In fact, these two notions are distinct. The publisher offers internet users free software, but still controls its source code (its "recipe") and is the only one that can improve it and publish modified versions. The term "free software" refers to the freedom of the software and not to its price. Users can run, copy, modify and distribute the software without the permission of the creator. Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, OpenOffice.org and VLC are known examples of free software. They are also free.

Keyboards: The mystery of the M button

Some computer keyboards, including laptop keyboards, display an M key that is smaller than the other letters. Why an M? On the standard U.S. keyboards (QWERTY), this key is reserved for the question mark. The M key is smaller than the others for easy retrieval. It is a memento of globalization or the key of the manufacturer.

The Use of a Sanitizer

Let’s assume that the water in your pool is well balanced chemically, but there are still bacteria, algae and contaminants in the water. Therefore, you need a product to purify your water.

Chlorine is the most common product on the market. It is also used by municipalities to clean up the water you drink. It is available in several formats: granules, tablets, cleaners, liquid and gaseous form. Chlorine can be stabilized or unstabilized. The advantage of stabilized chlorine is that it is not affected by UV rays and remains in the water longer.

Of course, there are also other types of purifiers on the market such as bromine, hypochlorite, lithium, trichlor, dichlor, etc. to name a few. This article focuses on the most popular: chlorine.

The daily dosage

If you use a distributor of chlorine or chlorine pucks in the skimmer, you should perform your tests and make sure the chlorine levels are within the limits. But if you use chlorine granules and chlorine in liquid form, then you will use one dose daily to maintain the levels:

1.0 to 3.0 ppm for residential or commercial pools;

3.0 to 5.0 ppm for residential or commercial spas.

The ideal time of day to add chlorine

You should add it by late afternoon because then it remains in the water throughout the night and can fight bacteria and algae better due to the lack of sunlight.

Water low in chlorine: <1.0 - Rapid formation of algae and bacteria, strong smell of chlorine, can cause disease.

Normal chlorine levels: between 1.0 and 3.0  - Ideal range for the control of algae and bacteria.

Water etching in chlorine: >3.0 - Discoloration of hair and bathing suits, potential eye irritation.
picture of pool supplies..
Approximate dosage                                       Approximate dosage

of granules or tablets (with stabilizer)             of granules or tablets (without stabilizer)
30 g per 10,000 liters of water                       60 g per 10,000 liters of water
Super chlorination (when the temperature exceeds 32 ° C)
Super chlorination is advisable if the temperature exceeds 32 ° C (90 ° F) or in case of heavy use of the pool, heavy rain, winds that bring debris or pollen in the water. Increase the dose of chlorine so that the concentration increases to 3.0 to 5.0 ppm for pools or 5.0 to 7.0 for spas. Thus, bacteria and algae are fought against. Return to the normal dose when the temperature drops below 32 ° C (90 ° F).
Shock treatment (normally every 2 weeks or one week when the temperature exceeds 30 ° C)
Over time it happens that the chlorine combines with organic wastes. Then, the amount of free chlorine decreases and thus so does its ability to fight bacteria and algae. The combined chlorine (also called chloramine) produces a bad smell. This characteristic odor suggests that there is too much chlorine in the water. The reality is quite different. This odor means that the dose of chlorine needs increasing for the amount of free chlorine to increase, too, as this helps get rid of the chloramine and finally the bad smell of chlorine. Some bacteria or algae can resist the daily dosage. This is why it is important to conduct regular shock treatments.

Shock treatment helps to solve several common water problems.
When should you apply shock treatment?
Increase the chlorine dose in the evening to obtain 10 ppm (about 5 times the daily dose).
Shock treatment every 2 weeks – Decrease the chlorine level to 3.0 or less before swimming. The ideal time for shock treatment is when it rains or it is too cold for swimming.
Shock treatment every week - When the water temperature exceeds 30 ° C (85 ° F)
When the water temperature falls to or below 30 ° C, you can go back to the 2 weeks cycle.

Shock treatment is necessary:
- In early and late season.

- If you have forgotten to add chlorine in recent days.

- If there is algae, if there was a storm, if there are many swimmers.

Do not use stabilized chlorine or chlorine pucks for shock treatment. Liquid chlorine may be used but it has the tendency to raise the pH levels and contains only 12% chlorine (bleach contains 6% chlorine).

Stabilizer (cyanuric acid)
Concentration: 30 to 50 ppm

The strong ultraviolet rays of the sun destroy much of the free chlorine in your water. A product like cyanuric acid, also known as stabilizer or conditioner, will form an invisible layer on the surface of the water that blocks the UV rays. This is an excellent investment because it allows you to save a lot of chlorine and you do not have to chlorinate needlessly every day.

Why Do Poker Players Put on Their Sunglasses

A number of players are on the frontlines defending this accessory after the famous professional poker player Daniel Negreanu accused poker players to cheat with their sunglasses (this was in May 2010). So why are sunglasses so important to them? What are they really for?

A wall to hide your emotions

Poker professionals are accustomed to staring at their opponents in order to detect any signs that may betray a bluff or give them information on their game. Most of these signals are sent by the eyes, which is the main reason why players like to wear sunglasses.

This is not a superstition. Real scientific studies corroborate the claims. Researchers at the University of Melbourne, Australia, have found that the position of the eyes can also represent such a signal. Just click around the internet a few times and you will find all mathematical formulas explaining how the horizontal or vertical movement of the eyes provides information the players around you can use. Therefore, sunglasses are an accessory that can hide a number of emotions. However, the eyes are not the only parts of the body that express your emotions.

The voice but also the facial expressions or even your gestures can also be revealing. This is why some players like to play in silence with headphones in the ears, sunglasses on the nose and sometimes with hoods or turtlenecks that hide parts of the face. These behaviors sometimes create a creepy atmosphere around the gaming tables, but they are just as comical at the same time.

Patrick Bruel stated in his famous comment on Canal + a few years ago that some professionals choose to wear sunglasses because of the bright light around a poker table. Indeed, the lighting is sometimes too intense for the enjoyment of the viewers and can be disturbing for the players, especially after several hours of play.

Observe the others discreetly

But camouflage is not the only reason why some players wear sunglasses. They are not only used to prevent behavioral analyses. They also allow the player to walk their eyes wherever they want without anyone at the table knowing it. Thus, a player has the opportunity to observe different facial expressions and signals the other players send, but without them seeing it.

Poker is a game of information and live parties have precisely this dimension. A player may collect as much information about the opponents that have remained in the game but must also be attentive to what happens around the table.

Can they represent an obstacle?

Some players from the best online casino still believe that sunglasses are not needed during a poker game but do not go to extreme measures like the ban advocated by Daniel Negreanu. Not only do they think that sunglasses hide emotions, but they also think they are an obstacle rather than an advantage. The glasses prevent certain information from reaching the player wearing them. In addition to this, the interpretation of signs and human contact are the essence of live poker.

Whether you are for or against sunglasses, it would seem that many find that they influence one’s behavior at the table. Journalists have realized that the wearing of glasses has resulted in a strange phenomenon of mimicry. Most players playing alongside their opponents eventually wear glasses during the poker game.

Rock Lobster Cycles builds e-bike chic in a retro-style

Stylish E-Bike in the retro-look: the Faraday of Rock Lobster Cycles. In Oregon Manifest competition a particularly elegant prototype has won an e-bike the audience award. The Faraday developed in collaboration with design company Ideo and the California bike builders Rock Lobster Cycles. It combines modern technology in a skillful way with retro design.

The diamond frame has two top tubes in which even the lithium-ion battery is hidden. Between the two pipes that go to the back of the seat post, the control unit is for electronics. The engine sits in the front wheel and provides an electrical output of 250 watts (24 volts). It can be about a thumb switch on the steering wheel turned on when required and controlled. The cables of the electronics are integrated as far as possible in the frame. The Faraday also has a porch in the two LED lamps are integrated as a bicycle light. A tail light is missing, of course. With a few simple steps can a bicycle basket or a child seat can be snapped on the stem. In addition, the bicycle has two disc brakes which are designed to ensure a proper delay. The e-bike is loaded via a connection at the control electronics. This is one of the best features of battery bikes.

His vintage flair gets the bike by the unusual setting, the mint green and white paint, the leather seat and handles as well as the curved fenders made of wood. The production cost of the Faraday should have added up to $ 5,000. Whether the e-bike will ever go into production is not clear.

The MMO Building Blocks in the Spotlight

Millions of children have been playing with the most popular building blocks in history for over 60 years. This is reason enough for the Danish giant to launch a role-playing game. Whether the brashly colorful graphics and the kid-friendly gameplay are really convincing, it cannot be said. However, here are all the facts about these toys.

The LEGO universe

2008, The Danish toy manufacturer LEGO Group announced its work on the first MMORPG based on its popular building block series in 2008. Their goal was a family-friendly game, which put emphasis on creativity. The idea was put into practice with the help of NetDevil (Jumpgate Evolution, Auto Assault) as a developer and Warner Bros. (Harry Potter LEGO, Batman LEGO). The game is aimed specifically at younger children due to the digital concept. According to the manufacturer, LEGO Universe was developed for players aged eight years and released on 26 October 2010. You can find lego trains also.

History

Image of lego trains.Although it has been around since the early thirties, LEGO has never developed a history of the building block world. Therefore, the makers had to improvise a bit and took a tale out of the hat. LEGO Universe is set in space, namely on the planet Crux. This includes Nexus, a source of pure fantasy. The industrial magnate Baron Thyponos creates a large, nasty hurricane named "Maelstrom" out of greed. This shatters the planet Crux into many small worlds and spreads. But there is still hope. However, they need protection and all the help they can get. You have to know the history of lego trains also.

One universe

As the name "Universe" suggests, the online role-playing game is set in a fictional universe where several planets that can be explored freely. One has to find different ways to save those planets from the evil storm. However, they must lead four groups, which are divided into the "alliance" for creative minds and a builder. The player is the "guardian" of the warriors and can make "discoveries". You can drive your own spaceship to explore the LEGO Universe. As usual, you will everywhere meet the strangest people and monsters. You can come across just about anything in this game.

No levels?

This game is not on a level system, which is untypical for the genre. It has a pre-defined class. The progress in the game is measured in terms of quests and LEGO bricks collected. The player chooses different weapons for a combat style instead of choosing a class arbitrarily. Of course, one can always change their option. The options chosen at the beginning of the game are valid throughout the entire game, so they influence the play. Some defense objects should be avoided. Actually, players enjoy the fact that this game does not have the stereotypical level content.

One of the highlights of LEGO Universe is the character design, each LEGO figure having its own digital alter-ego. The head, hair, pants or hands can all be replaced.

Brick by brick

Picture of lego trains.LEGO Universe is all about building with digital LEGO bricks. The manufacturer wants to adhere to the original form of the game completely and give the player the ability to tinker everything they can think of. Each player receives an instanced area (similar to the housing) where they can fully enjoy themselves. They also receive the necessary stones from one of the spoils of the enemies, as a quest reward or from dealers.

The second highlight of the game is the adventures, the so-called quests, which can be completed alone or in groups. However, there should be no direct peer pressure with few exceptions. The tasks are kept very simple being child-friendly and containing a lot of descriptions. Unfortunately, there is a minor drawback. Experienced online role-players can lose interest in this system very quickly as it may not be very challenging.

Family-friendly technology

The concept of LEGO Universe has been simplified in order to be accessible to children and adolescents. The interface is very simple for easy access. The quests contain long explanations and short, yet precise task texts. The chat is a relief, especially for the younger players. This should have automatic word recognition. Not all children have last generation computers. Some play on the old family computer which is otherwise used only for e-mails, paperwork or online shopping. Therefore, LEGO Universe has been optimized for older systems. And with success! The game may have a quite new appearance, but you only need one gigabyte of RAM (two gigabytes on Windows Vista and Seven), a processor with a two gigahertz clock frequency and ten gigabytes of disk space. The graphics card does not need to be highly performing either. Thus, a DirectX 8/9 card with 256 megabytes of memory is enough.

Melatonin and Aging: What Is the Connection?

"The purpose of life is dying, but this should occur as late as possible." There are several bundles of evidence to suggest that melatonin influences the rate of aging:

- The antioxidant effect of melatonin was demonstrated in 1983 and has been documented by 528 scientific studies ever since.

- The level of melatonin was significantly decreases in inverse proportion to age, while oxidative stress increases in direct proportion to it.

- The level of melatonin is closely and positively correlated with the general antioxidant activity.

- Melatonin protects against free radical pathologies induced by carcinogens, herbicides and pollutants.

- Melatonin is a versatile antioxidant that crosses morphophysiological barriers (cell membranes, blood-brain barrier) and penetrates the membrane, nucleus and cytosol of cells, acting on the lipids in the brain and body.

- Melatonin deficiency, often induced in animals, leads to premature aging.

- Melatonin protects (in vitro) neurons from the effects of the amyloid beta protein, a key player in Alzheimer's disease.

- Melatonin protects neurons from death by excitotoxicity (another "killer" of neurons).

- Melatonin protects lipids from peroxidation

- Melatonin protects DNA from free radical damage

The clinical efficacy of Ginkgo biloba extract in Alzheimer's disease

Professor Kanowski has presented the results of a double blind study in which 216 patients received 240 mg per day of either Ginkgo biloba extract or a placebo for 24 weeks. The clinical efficacy of Ginkgo biloba extract has been demonstrated by an average increase of 2 to 3 points on the rating scale of symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. These results were confirmed by a study in the United States of America, where a dosage of 120 mg per day was used for a year. Pregnancy stretch marks can be avoided.

About the wild yam: The contribution of Dr. Dominique Rueff (Co-author of "Hormones, Natural Vegetables")
The yam has not fallen from the sky! This "sweet potato" was used and consumed traditionally in different continents such as Asia, South America and the Pacific Islands. It is still used traditionally for "gynecologic" purposes, whether hot flashes, infertility, bleeding problems or regulatory problems.

The yam does not turn into progesterone or DHEA in the body

It is true that yams contain a substance known as diosgenin, from which progesterone can be obtained, among others. This extraction is done "in vitro", i.e. "test tube", and there is no indication that this is done well in humans! Some think and say that it is their right and responsibility! So how is it that the consumption of yams may have effects similar to those of progesterone? Multiple hypotheses have been developed and research is ongoing: yam extract is extremely rich in various substances that act globally on the adrenal hormones since the subjects had high levels not only of progesterone but also of DHEA and other adrenal hormones after months or years of consumption. What is even more interesting is that it seems that it can act on the cellular receptors, increasing the sensitivity of cells to circulating hormones (such as DHEA or progesterone).

The opposition between DHEA and yams

There are over two hundred species of yams with different properties - some are anti-inflammatory or disinfiltrating -, so there are numerous methods of preparation and concentration to achieve full power and efficiency.

Note: Here are the two main aspects you should remember:

1) The wild yam is not a precursor of DHEA or progesterone;

2) It behaves as a mimetic of estrogen, as well as other phytoestrogens in the body. A study conducted by the University of Arizona compared the yam supplements to DHEA: DHEA can double the amount of serum within 3 weeks while the yam induces absolutely no change. The only question that remains is that of a possible stimulating effect on the adrenal glands for several months or even years after use.

Catering Systems

Different food systems are appropriate for a school, depending on the spatial and material conditions. They are defined by the place where the food is prepared and the degree of processing of the used food. There are many differences between the various food systems from a nutritional point of view (Table 2).

The four main food systems are the following:

The food is prepared in an externally located kitchen (remote kitchen) and it is delivered to the school while still warm.

In case of kitchen cooking (fresh food system), the dishes are prepared in the kitchen and served directly.

In case of freezer preparation, the food is delivered to the school frozen, as it is stored frozen and thermally processed before consumption and served directly.

In case of kitchen mixer preparation, some of the food consists in ready components, the extent of home-cooked food varying greatly (usually side dishes, salads, desserts).

The so-called Cook & Chill process has gained a lot of popularity in recent years. Chilled meals are delivered to schools and heated prior to serving. This system is based on kitchen processing.

The condition for any of the systems mentioned above is that trained staff qualified in the field of child nutrition is available.

Table 2: Characteristics of different catering systems for hot lunch at school

Food distribution

Benefits
Low demand for personnel, space and kitchen facilities

Long holding times result in a reduction of the nutritional and sensory quality.

Remote kitchen supply is often not suitable for children but primarily for adults, i.e. meals and food plans
Disadvantages
The meal times, special requests and short-term changes in the dinner plan are not flexible

The food plan is limited since not all the food can be transported.
The food should be placed in the transport container that takes it to the nursery or school within a very short period of time.

Raw vegetables or fresh fruit are recommended to compensate for the nutrient losses.

The remote kitchen should have personnel who are qualified in child nutrition.

Food preparation

Benefits
The processing of fresh, less processed food results in a variety of nutritional offers and sensory quality food.

The direct contact of the kitchen staff with the students allows for flexible adaptation to the children's wishes.

The holding times can be kept low and food can be freshly prepared for later dinners.
Disadvantages
High demand for personnel, space and kitchen facilities

High costs for small food counts (<100)
Note
The best conditions for needs-based care for children and young people

Personnel who are qualified in child nutrition must be available

The quality of the food is also dependent on the quality of raw materials, kitchen equipment and personnel capacity

Kitchen preparation

Benefits
Low demand for staff

The food provider can adapt to the target group of children (seasoning, portion size)

New foods (e.g. foreign courts) can easily be offered (success is guaranteed)

The holding times can be kept low

The dishes for different meal times are flexible
Disadvantages
Limited variety in the food plan

Uniformity of taste by standardized recipes

Little effect on the sensory quality of frozen meals
Note
Sufficient space is required for the storage of frozen products

Special equipment is needed for regeneration

This method is only recommended for children and adolescents if the complemented by freshly prepared food (kitchen mixer preparation)

Kitchen mixer preparation

Benefits
Supplementation of the frozen products by freshly prepared food makes the food plan more diverse

The provider can adapt to the target group of children (seasoning, portion size)

New foods (e.g. foreign courts) can easily be offered (success is guaranteed)

The holding times can be kept low

The dishes for different meal times are flexible
Disadvantages
The staff and kitchen facilities requirements are smaller than in kitchen cooking

Taste uniformity with standardized recipes

Little effect on the sensory quality of frozen meals

This method is only recommended for children and adolescents if the complemented by freshly prepared food

Personnel who are qualified to care for children and good kitchen facilities are essential

The Relationship between Humans and Animals

The non-verbal communication of the dog (postures, facial expressions, etc...) is a rather fascinating mode of communication to observe and analyze. This article is an analysis of this method of communication in dogs but also in humans.

Dogs are not the only creatures that communicate through gestures or expressions. They live in social groups so they have developed a fascinating system of communication. They use all known means (postures, facial expressions, vocalizations, contacts) with the exception of the spoken language, which only humans use.

dogs
Communication is an important factor in the relationship between individuals. It plays an important role in the social life of a group. It influences the intra and interspecific relationships. Good communication (listening, sharing) leads to mutual understanding and respect. These means (voice, gestures, facial expressions) represent behaviors and are intended to convey information to others.

In humans, the cultural context has an important influence on the development of the verbal, nonverbal and para language. Nonverbal communication is very important in humans. It is based on codification (postures, gestures). The same holds true in animals. The essential elements are the physical appearance, the gestures and the facial expressions. One transmits signals through clothing or adornment, for example. One’s physical appearance voluntarily or involuntarily gives indications of themselves. These can be genuine or misleading.

The posture is probably the most important element. It indicates one’s mood and their intention at the time. The position of the hands on the hips or that of the arms may indicate dominance or subordination.

Changes of positions: People crave for appreciation, so they often change their position. For instance, politicians express what they intend to communicate by a handshake, while professors raise their fingers. Gestures help with the expression of doubt, approval, indifference, enthusiasm, desire...
The facial expressions are designed to boost individuals who interact. For example, the raising of the eyebrows is a form of greeting. The nod implies agreement or disagreement. The facial expression indicates the partner’s intention: whether the information is serious, ironic or funny.

The absence of hair on parts of the human face draws attention to the main features. A person may express their feelings and emotions, their feelings of superiority, disapproval, sadness, anger, fear, sexual desire without words.

When a man seduces a woman, a look, a position or a certain way of approaching her can be more than enough to communicate his attraction.

Gestures and facial expressions are used to explain a social situation. They take on meanings that allow interactions with others. They express an emotional state. Nonverbal communication is important. Actually, it represents 85% of communication in humans!

In dogs, the posture denotes a particular attitude and involves many parts of the animal’s body. All areas of the body are essential in communication.

The “call for play” posture is very well known. The dog leans forward with the body lowered to the ground. The rump is up. The whip is loud and lively.

The dominance postures are often observed by teachers. The dominant dog may have very stiff, straight limbs, ears and an erect tail, as well as bristling hair.

The common position of dominance is on top of a congener often of the same gender. Thus, the dog imposes its status.

The submissive posture is associated with abdominal presentation, a lowered tail and ears flattened against the back of the head. A shifty look is enough to identify a submissive posture.

The posture must be combined with other signals like the voice in order to be meaningful. The ritual also included the responses of other congeners.

The movements combine voluntary and involuntary signals that reflect a state of emotional tension or parasites like cat ticks. The movements of the lips, ears and eyelids are a response to the experiences acquired during the socialization period. The wrinkling of the face expresses aggression. The corners of the mouth are raised, the ears are perked up and the dog's hair bristled on its back. This means that the dog feels threatened. The dog pulls back its mouth corners and ears.

There are two rules of tactile communication. First of all, the skin area must be stimulated properly, i.e. the intensity, duration and frequency of the stimulation must be modulated. The head and neck are essential in establishing the dominant/subordinate hierarchy. The dog pulls and compresses the skin of its congener between its teeth until its muscles relax. The thorax is stimulated by the pressure of the head, shoulder or chest of the congener. This pressure is maintained until the outbreak of a game, bid or a manifestation of dominance. This is an ambivalent posture. It also makes sense in combination with other elements. Other regions are stimulated by licking. Thus, the dog stimulates its congener until it receives the desired response.

Building A Fish room

Keeping Cichlids is an addiction. It starts with just one tank, often with no thoughts of breeding these fascinating fish. However, nature takes over and the fish start courting and breeding. Then the fish keeper is faced with the problem of where to keep and grow the newly adopted babies. A second tank is purchased to cater for the needs of the growing family, and before you notice, you're hooked. It has happened to many millions of people worldwide and will continue to happen in the future: there is nothing to be ashamed of, nor the need to feel guilty. The love of nature's wonders is perfectly natural.

Once a fish keeper has graduated from simply having a couple of tanks in the lounge room the thoughts of expansion begin. Why not use all or part of the garage or the garden shed to house the fish? This is the logical progression, but the decisions to be made at this point should not be rushed. The setting up of a fish room can be the most important thing in this hobby. It is often the design and layout of the room that ultimately leads to success or failure, and if you will stay in the hobby for a lifetime or burn out within a year.

How large or small the area you use for the room depends on a number of factors. Things like location, available space, type of fish to be kept and budget will all govern the size of the room. Needless to say, the room will never be big enough. The construction of the room itself varies depending on the skills of the owner and if the building is to be constructed from scratch or simply converted (e.g. an existing garage). The external shell is relatively unimportant - brick, tin, fibro, weatherboard and just about any other building material are suitable.

image of aquarium. The internal linings and the insulation within the walls and ceiling are all of vital importance. This is the area where most attention should be focused. The internal lining of the room should be fibro or water resistant plasterboard. Cornices or quad should be used to ensure there are no gaps. This should be painted in a light colored mildew resistant paint. The insulation used depends on the type of construction and your budget, however, the more money you spend now will be reflected in lower heating costs later. The main factor is the insulation . It must have 100% coverage to be effective. Stud walls can be best insulated with fiberglass batts. Push the batts in between the studs and use string or cord, stapled to the studs to hold the batts up until the lining is in place. An alternative to batts is polystyrene foam. No matter what the material used, the entire cavity between the studs must be filled. So cut out small strips to fill gaps, if necessary. In the ceiling the insulation is easy: if the roof is pitched, simply lay the batts or foam between the rafters. An alternative product called cellulose fiber can be pumped into the roof and is very effective. If the roof is a flat or skillion roof that is not already lined, then the best method is polystyrene foam as it is easier to install above your head, as batts tend to sag.

Windows and skylights are good to provide natural light to your fish room, but they can also be the point of greatest heat loss. All glass openings must be double glazed. Suitable windows can be purchased or easily made by the handyman. The basic principle must be known to take advantage of this technology. It works like this: the air trapped between the two sheets of glass acts as a barrier to the heat, much the same way as a diver's wet suit. The two sheets of glass must be close together (i.e. about 15 mm) and the air must be sealed in between the sheets. If the air is not sealed between the sheets, or the gap is too large, then it won't work and all the effort is wasted. Doors should fit well in the jam and have a draft excluder fitted underneath.

A door closer is also a good idea, to make certain that it is not left ajar.

Heating is the major running cost in keeping fish when away from tropical areas. So once you have worked out the best way to keep the heat in, the next step is to work out the best way to generate the heat. Firstly the most costly way to heat your tanks is individual aquarium heaters in all tanks, so this should be avoided. Heating the whole room is therefore the best. Gas is the most cost effective energy to heat the room, however, some heater designs are much better than others.

Models with a "Power flue" are superior to all others. These units draw air from outside and then return the exhaust gas back outside. The next best are any other flued models. Other models without flues should be avoided. Your local gas supplier should be consulted to ensure your choice is safe for your application. Reverse cycle air conditioners are the next most cost effective . The best way to run them is for only 3 one hour sessions in a 24 hour period. This can be accomplished by using an electronic timer purchased from a hardware shop. The correct times and settings for the air conditioner will be achieved by monitoring the tank temperature in the room each night, and then again in the early morning before the lights come on, and finally in the middle of the day. This will avoid you being in the room when the heater is on, and avoid heat loss from you coming and going from the room.

So, now your building is complete and you are ready for the tanks. The amount of planning you do here will directly influence the amount of time you spend on maintenance and the amount of water you can have in the room. My personal preference is to have wide tanks to maximize the amount of water per unit area. I also believe in having overflows in the tanks and some degree in automation in the area of water changing. My fish rooms have long racks or stands that suit tanks of equal width and height. The lengths of tanks can vary depending on needs.

For example the bottom and middle rows can be 18 inches high and the top row 24 inches high. Having your stands set up this way is the most efficient way to maximize total water capacity and all commercial fish rooms are done in this manner. Most people use either wood or steel to make their stands. Both materials must be painted to ensure long life.

image of aquariums.Aquarium filtration is a subject that can be as diverse as the fish we keep. However, two basic methods are preferred. The simplest is individual air operated filters of your favorite design. These are cheap to run and often easy to make yourself. The other way is to have a common filter system, where many tanks run from the same large filters. These filters can run whole racks or rows or even the whole room. Some expert assistance will be required to design a system for your needs, so shop or ask around and get detailed quotes before starting. Some advice: keep separate systems for different water conditions (e.g. Americans, Africans, or Discus) and keep your fry growing tanks on a separate system to the breeders, if possible.

Lighting in the fish room is usually less important than in a display tank in the lounge room. I have always designed my rooms as a cost saving exercise. So I only use ceiling lights above the aisles between the tanks. I have a couple of regular aquarium lights that can be moved to a specific tank if necessary.

At this point I will give you an example of one of my rooms. The building is approximately 30 feet long and 9 feet wide (about the same as a garage for two cars, one behind the other). There are about 60 tanks from 40 liters to 1,800 liters, and the total capacity is 13,000 liters. All tanks except the two largest tanks (1,800 and 800 liters) are on air operated aquarium filters, including four 5x2x2 tanks. The total average energy costs $4.50 / week in gas and $11.50 / week in power.I consider this to be a very cost effective room for the large amount of water.

In conclusion, think carefully before you start, look at other people's fish rooms, ask other society members how their rooms are set up, and if they have any problems with their rooms and how they can be rectified.
Please try not to make the same mistake more than once. Remember, planning ahead will make your room neater, much more functional, and more enjoyable for you and your fish.

Phishing attack on Master Card Customers

The Consumer advocates Mastercard customers about a phishing attack where cyber criminals try to steal credit card data. The cyber criminals now send mail, which is threatened with a revocation of the credit card account and to demand to click the activation link. After clicking on the link, the user will land on a phishing page of the website of the credit card company which is deceptively similar.

The user should only have his account and credit card numbers to enter the credit card account that will be unlocked again apparently. The data should be for their own safety to be entered under any circumstances. If money was already deducted, it should also contain a fraud complaint with the police. It will be reimbursed.
Phishing developed in recent years to collect a great danger for the users and the cyber criminals every year by millions of stolen account data which will be used or sold. The individual users can protect themselves from a data theft by not responding to phishing e-mails and they are transported simultaneously in the virtual trash.
The browser should be equipped with a phishing filter, because you will only be safe to surf with it.

Save the Company with an Insolvency Plan

Tips for corporate restructuring

Another goal of the Bankruptcy Act is to give entrepreneurs a chance to save or rehabilitate their companies using a bankruptcy plan. To this end, the insolvency law permits one to initiate the proceedings for an insolvency plan, this being an effective means to rehabilitate their ailing companies...

The insolvency plan procedure is usually rarely utilized although there is a high chance for rehabilitation and thus of rescuing the company. However, this type of corporate reorganization is not very easy to understand. First of all, the current situation of the company in question needs to be assessed accurately because only a company that offers opportunities for the future may be rescued by means of an insolvency plan procedure. Therefore, the liquidator must analyze the current positioning of the company accurately, as well as the opportunities and risks on the market, in order for the bankruptcy plan to be valid. Then they create the insolvency plan, which is presented to the creditors during a meeting. The creditors' committee then decides whether the company can continue its work or will be shattered along a lengthy bankruptcy procedure.
picture of debt.
The insolvency plan procedure offers many advantages to creditors. They give up some of their demands willingly. In case of an insolvency plan procedure, the rates are significantly higher after about six months and not after several years. It is also possible to rehabilitate parts of the company through the renunciation of claims so that business contacts can also be established in the future. The insolvency plan procedure only has chances of success if employees, creditors and banks are equally interested in the continuation of the company. On the creditor side, this means to give up a portion of the claims. The same applies to banks. Workers have to deal with the insolvency plan procedure to save the company and thus give up shares or agree to be paid less.

The insolvency plan procedure must also be accepted by the creditors. Otherwise, the company is liquidated. It is very important whether the company still has market opportunities afterwards, whether management is trustworthy and whether the company's employees are motivated. However, the acceptance of a bankruptcy plan often leads to massive cuts in the company. Operating parts are often closed and employees are laid off. These actions lead to substantial savings and guarantee success in the long term. This means difficult times to all parties involves, but also hope for a bright future.

Nowadays, the insolvency plan procedure is only used rarely despite its many advantages, such as the fact that the owner of the company gives the employees the chance to preserve their professional futures. However, most companies find this insolvency plan procedure unattractive. This is probably the case because the requirements are very high and the road to a stronger company is rocky. Ways to improve the process are currently sought. One suggestion is that the creditors have a say regarding the selection of the liquidator in the future.

Table Manners and Etiquette..

The tablecloths

Plate covers: A large flat plate is to be placed in the center of the place settings. It is to be placed 3 cm from table edge.

Cutlery: the items are placed from the outside to the inside in the order in which they are used! The cutlery on the right of the plate is held with the right hand (the right knife with the blade to the plate and right next to it is the spoon). The left fork is next to the plate.

Dessert cutlery: The fork and spoon are arranged in such a way that the handle of the fork is to the left of the handle of the spoon!

image of wedding table.Lenses: Right above the knife tip in series of 3 and 4. A water glass is provided so you start with that. No more than four cocktail glasses are placed on the table!

Napkins: They are put to the left of the plate.

Pastries: Possibly two or more napkins are in order.
SERVED: The plates and glasses are always taken from the right side with your right hand. The soup is served in cups. The plates and bowls are offered from the left (right hand). In this case, you outreach the food so that the back of the hand comes to rest on the table and no gap is created between the plates or the bowls near the plate (mess is prevented). Juice is served in a sauceboat or a spoon. Supplements are often passed from guests. The template set of spoons and forks is used or the specifically designated cutlery may be used. One tablespoon alone is used for sauces, purees and the glasses are always served on a plate or on the tray, but never by hand! Bitter and sweet should not be combined when you want to order more than one drink.

Order: aperitif, light white wine, heavy white wine, red wine, champagne and dessert wine. Then, you can take cognac and liqueur.

Aperitifs: vermouth, whiskey, pure sherry or sherry mixed with soda or Campari cocktails are served.
For starters: You can go for wine, but not for beer. If caviar is served, you should go for champagne or sparkling wine.

Fish: The drinks which go with fish are light –take Hungarian white wines, for instance (including the Rhine and Moselle wines).

Poultry: Heavy customized white wines and red wines with wild fowls.

Roast: Only heavy, fine white wines can be served in this situation. You can have heavy red Bordeaux or Burgundy wine with red meat, too.

After eating: the champagne is enough. Then, go for coffee, cognac and liqueur.

Lenses choice: The white, thin-walled, ground glass is beautiful and the size of the glass will reflect the character of the drink. Fine service and balloon goblets or glasses are to be chosen.
You take stem glasses for red and white wine.

Champagne: It can be served in champagne bowls, cups, glasses, goblets and champagne balloons. However, the champagne flute is the most optimal.

Dessert: The glass is always smaller than the white wine glass. Liquor and liqueur, cognac, brandy and Grand Marnier are to be served in the so-called swivels (large bulbous glasses with a short walk). Sprayed spirits (whiskey, alcoholic beverages) are served in beakers.

Stakeout: After dinner, the host puts the cutlery with the handles parallel to the right of the plate and folds them in a napkin. Pay very much attention to this! Once you have finished eating, you should put the knife and fork crossed on your plate! The stakeout only begins when all the guests have finished their course! The stakeout begins from the right (right-handed). This means that everything is sacked, no matter whether it was used or not. The plates, bowls or sauceboats on the table are taken first and then the used plates are sacked
